Microsoft said that windows 11 will be a little faster than windows 10 . It will be faster in loading programs and starting the computer from sleep. Company had released a new video detailing some of the behind the scenes improvements. Microsoft has made to accelerate its operating system. A major shift in way how we pass a good windows experience in Windows 11 is how to prioritize applications and processes, said Steve Dispensa, who is the enterprise management Vice President at Microsoft.

Even with a stressed computer CPU, windows 11 operating system can now better prioritize computing resources to applications running in the foreground.

Performance improvement

For example, Vice President shows a Windows 11 PC that runs under heavy load and consumes more than 90% of the processing power of CPU’s. Then Vice President opened Microsoft Excel and word, both of which started with minimal delay because the operating system transferred more computing resources to the applications running in the foreground.

This is a seconds of time saved in this situation. The time saved will accumulate as you use these apps throughout the day, Vice President added.

Another performance improvement from Microsoft includes restoring the computer from sleep mode. “Same like your phone, windows 11 contains optimized instant experience,” Vice President said. Optimizations contain better overall memory management when powering up different hardware parts in the PC.

In the sleep state, windows 11 can also better protect the power supply of the CPU. This approach optimizes sleep recovery by 25%, therefore for most people, recovery is almost immediate. It also means that users device can asleep longer than it often hibernates, Vice President said.

Windows 11 will come with many other features, including faster PC game loading time.  But, many existing PCs that meet the operating system requirements may not get free updates until few times .

At the same time, due to Microsoft’s strict hardware requirements for the operating system, PCs with more than four years will not be eligible for formal update. Means that the company is opening the door for users to manually install windows 11 on unqualified PCs. However, unsupported computers running this operating system will not be able to get automatic windows software updates.
